Children's Easter Workshop - Printmaking

Welcoming children aged 8-11 years old onto this Easter workshop. Susie Hartley, a qualified teacher and current DBS checks offers a fun morning experimenting with different printmaking techniques in the art studio. MATERIALS TO EXPLORE Children will experiment with mono printing using printing ink or paint, rollers and smooth printing surfaces. Natural objects and textured materials will be used to press, stamp and create patterns, before paper is laid on top to reveal a one-of-a-kind print. This hands-on process encourages sensory play, fine motor skills and confidence in trying new techniques. SUBJECT MATTER This workshop takes inspiration from the natural world in spring. Children will explore shapes, patterns and textures found in leaves, flowers, bark and everyday natural objects. By looking closely at how nature makes marks, they’ll discover how lines, dots and textures can be turned into exciting printed images. The focus is on playful exploration, curiosity and creative discovery rather than perfect results. Price includes materials. Any questions, do get in touch.
