This workshop focuses on charcoal as a versatile and expressive drawing medium. Working from both natural and man-made subject matter, you will explore form, structure, texture and tone through direct observation. You’ll experiment with a range of charcoal materials, including willow and compressed charcoal learning techniques working with line and tone. Through guided exercises, you’ll create a series of drawings that investigate scale and composition using charcoal to capture both bold gestures and subtle detail. Price includes all materials.
