Recently I have been working on a series of sculptures which are inspired by a combination of figurative and natural forms. Throughout the Spring I have been recording the growth of new plants and taking this inspiration into my art studio to develop further in clay.
I have been wanting to go to Kew Gardens for ages and last week was a perfect opportunity to go! My favourite areas of the Gardens were The Palm House, the Temperate House and The Princess of Wales Conservatory - all house some spectacular plant forms.
I took lots of photos and have started to print off the ones I intend to use as starting points for some new sculptures.
