Recently the Thursday morning drawing group made some lovely ink and stick studies of some old leather boots.
Firstly the students did an observational drawing on A3 cartridge paper of their chosen old leather boot.
Then they carefully went over the pencil line using an old stick/ kebab stick and Quink ink.
After the ink dried the students carefully rubbed the pencil lines away.
For the final stage of the drawing the students used small brushes and created layered washes on their drawings to enhance the forms using tone.
